Rajasthani Food recipe of Churma

 

Daal bati incomplete without churma, when combine it shows complete thali of Rajasthani Food. Basically, churma made up of hard coarse grated flour mix with lots of ghee and sugar. Some important benefits when eat sugar in control like it increase the energy level, stronger the immunity system, better sleep, improved the gut health, reduce the weight and make overall health better.

Too much eating of sugar provides negative health effects. But, AHA (Alpha hydroxy acid) suggest that eating 100 calories per day or 6 teaspoons or 24 grams of sugar are the sufficient diet of sugar for women. When talk about the men around 150 calories or 9 teaspoons or 36 grams of sugar are sufficient level of consuming.

3. Wheat Flour Churma Recipe

Ingrediants

2 bowl of wheat flour

100 grams of ghee

350 grams of grated sugars

5 to 6 small cardamoms

4 to 5 cloves of grated almonds, pistachio

1 glass of warm water

250 grams of Mawa



Preparations

Preparation for preparing dough

Take one deep plate, add flour. In the middle of the flour make hole and drop melted ghee. Mix well. Then using small- small amount of water make dough like puri. Knead properly so elasticity make and crackers doesn’t make. Rest for 10 minutes so it takes proper shape. Then make big ball of dough may be two.

Note: If ghee is not melted, melt it using flame.

Preparation for bake

Take the oven and preheated on high flame. It takes around 5 minutes. Then put balls on oven and slow the flame. Then wait for 10 minutes to bake and change color into white. After that change the side and same process follow. It takes around 25 to 30 minutes to convert the color into golden brown.

Note: Preheat the oven is mandatory, it helps to bake in slow flame.

-        Bake in low flame because when prepare the churma texture raise all the flavors.

Preparation for grated the baked dough

Using khal batta or imam dasta or grinder grated the baked dough or patties. Put all the baked dough and start to grated. Texture of churma is like flour. Using sieve, drain the thin and thick part. Thick part is again grated and sieve. This process is continuing until all come in flour texture.

Note: If imam dasta is not use grinder to grind.

Preparation for preparing Churma

Now your grated churma ready, take one and deep plate, add grated churma. Put hole in the middle, add ghee, grated sugar and mawa. Using your hands mix well until all the ingredients spread properly in grated flour. After mix, add cardamom and grated dry fruits. Mix well. Now your churma ready to serve.

Tips and terms:

Making besan ka churma and suji ka churma used besan for preparing besan ka churma and suji for suji ka churma. All the ingredients and measurements are same for preparing only difference of flours are there.
